To avoid waiting in line, buy your tickets in advance. If you have an OPUS card, you can even purchase your tickets directly through the Chrono mobile application. Coming from the South Shore? The REM is your best option! It will drop you off at Montreal’s Central Station, right in the heart of the Parade route!
Si vous venez en voiture, privilégiez les places de stationnement souterrain. Plus de 50 000 places sont disponibles au centre-ville. Voici quelques stationnements :

Veuillez noter que le jour du Défilé, la circulation au centre-ville sera dense en raison des fermetures de rues et de l’affluence des spectateurs.   If you’re coming by car, use underground parking spaces. More than 50,000 spaces are available downtown. Here are just a few of them.

Please note that on Parade Day, traffic in the downtown core will be heavy due to street closures and the large number of spectators.

Le défilé sera sur le boulevard de Maisonneuve, entre les rues Saint-Marc et Saint-Urbain. Ce trajet revisité vise à améliorer l’expérience des spectateurs, facilitant la circulation et la visibilité.

The route will be similar to last year (the parade no longer travels along Sainte-Catherine Street). The starting point will be on Boulevard de Maisonneuve, between Saint-Marc and Saint-Urbain Streets. This new route is designed to enhance the spectator experience, making it easier to navigate and enjoy the event.

Le défilé dure environ 1h30-2h30. Prévoyez des vêtements chauds et confortables pour affronter tout type de température! The parade lasts about 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Make sure to dress warmly and comfortably to handle any weather!
Il n’y a pas de toilettes installées le long du parcours. Néanmoins, le Défilé est organisé autour de grands centres d’achats tels que le Centre Eaton de Montréal, la Place Montréal Trust, Place Ville Marie, le Complexe Desjardins, les Promenades Cathédrale, La Baie d’Hudson, le Carrefour Industrielle Alliance, et Les Cours Mont-Royal, qui disposent de toilettes accessibles.   There are no restrooms set up along the route. However, the parade is organized around major shopping centres such as the Centre Eaton de Montréal, Place Montréal Trust, Place Ville Marie, Complexe Desjardins, Promenades Cathédrale, Hudson’s Bay, Carrefour Industrielle Alliance, and Les Cours Mont-Royal, all of which have accessible restrooms.
Non, il n’y a pas d’espace dédié aux personnes à mobilité réduite le long du parcours. Cependant, le boulevard de Maisonneuve est accessible à tous.   No, there is no designated area for people with reduced mobility along the route. However, de Maisonneuve Boulevard is accessible to everyone.
Non, il ne sera pas possible de suivre les chars. Pour votre sécurité, ne traversez jamais la rue pendant le déroulement du défilé.   No, it will not be possible to follow the floats. For your own safety, never cross the street during the parade.

Celebrating 200 Years of Irish Heritage and Unity in Montreal
Célébration des 200 ans d’héritage et d’unité irlandaise à Montréal
We will have a theme for the parade:
“Emerald Connections: Celebrating 200 Years of Irish Heritage and Unity in Montreal”
The purpose of this theme is to:
1) To promote Montreal’s multiculturalism,
2) Celebrating Irish Heritage,
3) To highlight the importance that the Irish place on inclusion and community.

We ask the participants to focus their entry on the heritage, culture, community or history of their own country and to incorporate Irish heritage where appropriate. By doing so, you will continue to promote the diversity of this most excellent parade… Montreal’s parade!

Le défilé aura un thème :
« Emerald Connections : Célébration des 200 ans d’héritage et d’unité irlandaise à Montréal »
Le but de ce thème est de :
1) promouvoir le multiculturalisme de Montréal,
2) célébrer le patrimoine irlandais,
3) souligner l’importance que les Irlandais accordent à l’inclusion et à la communauté.

Nous invitons les participants à axer leur contribution sur le patrimoine, la culture, la communauté ou l’histoire de leur propre pays, tout en y intégrant le patrimoine irlandais le cas échéant. Ce faisant, vous continuerez à promouvoir la diversité de ce défilé des plus excellents : le défilé de Montréal !

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day and
Everyone is Irish today
And we’ll have some fun along the way

Green shamrocks and a colourful rainbow
In the clear blue sky
And the shiny pots of gold are in sight
And we’ll sing and dance
All through Saint Patrick’s night

From Montreal
To Quebec and to
Gatineau and on to sunny
Saint Hyacinthe

With classical Irish
Music fills the air
And all the little leprechauns
Are dancing and jumping
Up in the air and the little children
Are having so much fun

And I love Saint Patrick’s Day and
I’m playing the fiddle on
This special Irish day and
The people are matching through the
Streets celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day

And the little children
Are running up and down
And chanting Saint Patrick

And we will sing
And dance
All through the night

So may the love and luck
Of the Irish be
With you all today on this very
special and loving
And peaceful happy Saint Patrick’s Day.
